  She's here and early! 27 weeks 1day.

  so as of july 2nd my wife delivered by c-section our little one pound, three ounce daughter izabella.

  it was a very scary night that started with a decel and turned into multiple decels that greatly concerned the doctors.

  by early morning they felt the need to take her for her safety.

  Congratulations.

  My granddaughter weighed 2 ounces more when she was born then your daughter, she turns 3 this week. She is still very petite only weighing 25 lbs but a mighty force.

  More boring baby stuff and wife's first birthday

  hello just giving a quick baby update again.

  we went for another growth scan yesterday which marks 26 weeks, 4 days and the genetics dr. felt that we needed to head to hospital for labor and delivery.

  so as of now the wife is being monitored and the hope is she can stay until delivery which hopefully will be a few weeks.

  Darkknight,

  Lots of hugs and thoughts for you and your family during this time. Neonatal is the absolute best place to be for your little one.

  I have two grandkids who spent a lot of time in neonatal, they are still small for their age but otherwise you would not know they had been there. My grandson weighed 2 1/2 lbs and his sister only weighed 1 1/2 lbs. They are very good at rearranging my family room furniture including the recliners and they are 2 and 3.

  Never a JW. I worked full time while attending college full-time. This was in the early 70's when equal rights for women in the workplace was a huge issue. The company I worked for had a lot of federal contracts and they were getting threats that the contracts would be pulled if women did not start filling some of the management positions. Once I graduated I was promoted in less then 30 days to store manager in a field that is still primarily mostly male oriented. My immediate supervisor and his boss were not at all happy and made it their daily goal to make my life as miserable as h....!! The Rebel had just finished 4 business law classes and knew what the law so stated. I was taking none of their BS, one example was my immediate supervisor called and said he understood I was driving the company car to and from work. Yes. That is to stop immediately. My response, as soon as you have a revised contract on my desk with a $5,000 pay increase, it will stop and not till. He said he would call me back. He did and said I could continue driving the car. He continued this harassment for the next 6 months till I had enough, I told him to get on a flight and close this store at 9 PM tonight. My last supervisor for same company called not 30 minutes later asked have you put your resignation in writing yet? No. Then do not, the company wants to pay to move you to a new location, do not tell that jerk about it. I will call you tonight with the details. Also, expect a phone shortly from his boss. He was forced to retire in less then 6 months. I was not the only female store manager he was trying to run out.

  So the next location they sent me to LOL, haha. I already had 4 years working for this boss he was great. BS in accounting, minor in business new location I was business manager for two locations. I arrive at the store. My boss is a district boss who oversees 20 locations. I call him after 2 days and suggest he calls me at home either in the evening or on the weekend. I spent the next 1 year and 6 months documenting one of the largest theft rings the company had on record. Heads rolled up two levels above the store. Store employees were getting death threats, one guy got a fork lift drove through his car. They were filing fraudulent property insurance claims (self insurance). I documented every last thing they did in a secret file so when the auditors arrived it was right there for them in black and white they did not have to search for a single piece of evidence.

  Those were scary times.

  What is behind your choice of forum user name?

  just curious how we all think.. what prompted or influenced your choice of username for this forum?.

  there are some really amazing names, and it would be great to hear the stories behind them.... mine was nothing fancy.

  i just felt "stuck in a rut too" along with so many others.

  Never a JW but my mother always called me a Rebel. In his parting words the "Elder" told me I was a Fighter and fought everything I disagreed with. BTW, both of them are right. I am very rebellious and a very good fighter when there is a good cause with a great track record.

  So yeap Rebelfighter it is.

  Yes I am as well as I can be at the moment. I was diagnosed finally last week with TN1/TN2 which I can live with just very frustrating trying to tell neurologist after neurologist I am not complaining about migraines this is something else but try to get a flipping dr to listen to uneducated patient.

  Got some sorta wonderful news last week, Social Services asked my son and dil to care for a one month old baby who is in need till the birth parents (if) get their act together and can have the baby back. This means Gram gram (me) will be caring for the baby 4 or 5 days a week along with their 2 and 3 year old. I am loving it. The parents of the baby had approached my son and dil about a week before social services took the baby away and asked them if they would like to adopt him. Just a couple of kids who are not ready to be parents.

  Oh, and my daughter is expecting so I am going to be Gram gram again in October or November.

  We who love kids so so much just cannot understand how the JWS would allow such emotional abuse.

  Just one small reason why Russia banned Jehovah Witnesses.

  Emotional abuse!

  My family celebrates all the Christian holidays, my son works everyone of them actually pulls close to a 14 to 16 hour day WHY because they pay triple pay that day. Gets paid for the holiday, then double time for working. He is no fool, he has a family to support.

  We are becoming champions of grief. We lost twin B.

  last week we had a reassurance ultrasound with our ob.

  she was just supposed to check heartbeats on the two little ones and they were going strong!

  but because she had extra time and she can be quite anal about her work (which is a good thing) she decided to take some measurements.

  I am so very sorry for your loss. Big Internet hugs for both you and your wife. This is the toughest thing that the two of you will go through in life. At a time like this there are no words other then my heart feels much pain for both of you.

  Your doctors are in a much better position to help today then when I struggled with the same situation.

  A purposeful life can conflict with "truth"

  that life needs a purpose, in my opinion is why many remain witnesses.. yet it occurs to me, if only witnesses could simplify their life, they would regain their sight, look at themselves and see the " miraculous " organisation and the unforseeable future is not as important as enjoying the spring day of today.

  this is why i have simplified my life.

  my purpose in life today is simply to play a little football with my son, and appreciate the spring day.. but of this i am sure, today will be a good day, better than the " purposeful" days i spent in the " miraculous " organisation, living on the a hope of an unforseeable future..

  Time slips by so quickly in life but the memories you cherish. Mine are all centered around my children and now my two little grandkids are adding some new memories plus all the memories from my most cherished activity which is charity work and all the kids we helped.

  PS grandchild #3 is on it's way.

  the crowd on the street (see photo) is now inside and the gallery is packed.. yesterday jehovah's witnesses presented a written legal argument - "objections to the administrative claim of the ministry of justice of the russian federation" - to the supreme court of russia which, in paragraph 254, argued that if the ministry for justice liquidates and bans the activities of jehovah's witnesses then this will force individual members to renounce or abandon their religion for fear of persecution.. download legal argument (russian).

  Sorry to go off topic but did we just not have an entire topic on proper "men's dress". Yes I know that they were so focused on those tight pants but really those 5 men in that court room including his Royal GB member are all wearing the most ill fitting suits. I for one would be just as embarrassed to be seen with a man wearing a suit that looks like he and someone else could occupy the same suit or the jacket has a far cry from fitting around that beer gut.

  Just my opinion.

  Thank you Rebel. Family is so important. My daughter and I have our special rituals we started when she was very young. Now she is 26 when she comes to visit no matter how much we talk after everyone goes to bed she still comes into my room climbs into bed and we talk well into the morning hours about everything, nothing, anything, sillyness. Just like old times. Both of my kids still bring up things we did together when they were small some of which I had forgotten but they remember. It is those memories you are creating.
